Affordable Housing Scheme Proposed for Grimshaw Street (21 March 2022)

An Officer Working Group at Preston City Council is at the initial stages of creating a proposal to deliver affordable housing on a Council-owned site on the corner of Grimshaw Street and Church Street, in Preston City Centre.

Preston Markets Welcomes New Business - Tipsy Chef

A new and exciting addition is on its way to Preston Market Hall. Tipsy Chef, a new restaurant where you can eat in or takeaway will serve up classic street food, including boa buns, smash burgers, dirty fries, freak shakes and more. All made on site by head chef and owner Jay Oates.

The Mayor of Preston has been formally approached for support by our Polish twin city Kalisz urgently providing finance and supplies to the Ukrainian city Kamieniec Podolski. With a longstanding relationship between Kamieniec Podolski and Kalisz, the Ukranian city has issued a list of vital supplies to their Polish partner that Preston has been asked to support in any way we can.

Council Tax Direct Debit - easiest way to receive your energy rebate (24 February 2022)

The Government recently announced measures to help households with rising energy bills, including a £150 council tax energy rebate. We would now urge people to sign up to pay their council tax by direct debit so they automatically receive the rebate.
