Victory in Europe 80 Beacon Lighting Parade road closure (Thursday 8 May 2025)

There will be a road closure for Victory in Europe Day 80 Beacon Lighting Parade on Thursday 8 May between 8.30pm and 9.45pm.
Only vehicles forming part of or otherwise used in connection with the procession or emergency service vehicles will be allowed to travel along the above roads at the time of the public procession.

- Church Street, Grimshaw Street, Queen Street, Avenham Lane, Syke Street, Cross Street and Guildhall Street in that direction only.
Suspension of one-way traffic restrictions
A further effect of this Order will be to suspend:
One-way traffic restrictions on Crooked Lane, Lancaster Road, Avenham Street and Glover's Court and (ii) a prohibition of vehicular traffic restriction on Lancaster Road to enable vehicles to egress from roads in the vicinity of the route
