Who can apply?
Jobs from the Kickstart Scheme are open to 16-24-year-olds, who are claiming Universal Credit, and are at risk of long-term unemployment.
What does a Kickstart placement at Preston City Council offer?
A 6 month paid placement, working 25 hours per week earning £9.50 per hour. Depending on your circumstance you may continue to receive Universal Credit once you start work.
Not only will you be in a paid 6-month job, you will also be receiving additional employability support and training to help boost your employment prospects in the future.
