You can report a breach by completing this form.
It is important when reporting a breach to provide an accurate location and provide as much information as possible in relation to the breach. Your contact details are also required to convey information on progress in the case. Providing an email address will enable us to contact you more quickly should we need to do so.
Once the report has been logged you will receive an acknowledgement, usually within five working days.
In most cases a site visit will be conducted and investigations carried out. Depending on the nature of the breach, you may be requested to provide further information, for example, in relation to times and dates of further activity at the site, the presence of any vehicles.
Due to the differing nature of breaches of planning control, the time taken to reach a decision regarding a breach can vary significantly. The officer dealing with the case will be able to advise you of likely timescales and we will endeavour to keep you informed of progress at key milestones during the investigations.
