In partnership with Job Centre Plus, Preston's College and Lancashire Adult Learning College work clubs are run mainly by volunteers that offer people of Preston additional support to find employment.
Support and training sessions run by the colleges are on offer for volunteers assisting in the running of the work clubs. The colleges will deliver taster sessions, short courses and offer career advice on a one to one basis.
Job Centre Plus will refer clients seeking work using a postcode system to signpost people to the relevant work club in their area.
If you are interested in setting up your own work club or would like to volunteer at one of the current clubs please contact us using the details at the bottom of the page.
Work clubs are a friendly and free service run by local community organisations who offer support with C.V. writing, job searches, how to complete an application form, interview skills and building confidence. Job seekers who don't require support are welcome to use the computers to search for jobs, complete application forms or anything else related to getting a job.
