Lancashire Encounter is a full scale festival over weekend of 21 - 23 September 2018 in the heart of the city centre, Harris Museum and Art Gallery, Flag Market, Markets, Winckley Square and Avenham Park.
Lancashire Encounter Festival’s vision is to be the key cultural event for Central Lancashire and a driver for the development of Lancashire’s arts and cultural offer.
Taking place over the weekend of 21 - 23 September 2018, the festival will be an authentic voice for Lancashire, celebrating the breadth of the county's diverse cultural offer with a high quality, high profile arts festival.
Encounter is a cross art form of excellent art programmed and owned by Lancashire’s artists, organisations and people.

The Harris Museum and Art Gallery need your help to celebrate all things Lancashire.
The stage is set at the Harris for performers and makers of all kinds to share their passion about the county. If you are inspired by the flavours, fashions, landscapes, sounds, history, weather, inventions, sport (you name it!) of our region – then we want to hear from you.
Lancashire Revue are inviting applications from artists, companies and performers to take part in an evening of lively, fast-paced, warm-hearted entertainment that captures the authentic charms and voices of contemporary Lancashire.
Derelict are a Preston based arts organization who produce incoming theatre programmes, community projects and festivals in the City.
Derelict are looking for members of the public to take part in exciting, fun and immersive street performances at this year’s Lancashire Encounters Festival.
