We aim to provide a clean and litter free environment throughout the city by putting resources where they are most needed and responding quickly when told about a street cleaning problem.
Our team of over 50 cleansing staff work to clean over 650 kilometres (400 miles) of streets in Preston. They collect more than 7,000 tonnes of litter and fly-tipping from our streets, pavements, back alleys and litterbins every year.
We have provided over 1000 litter bins throughout the city and these are emptied on a regular basis. The bins are sited in prominent spots and provide a easy way for you to dispose of your rubbish.
You can report a street litter problem in the following ways:
To report rubbish in a park contact our Parks department - firstname.lastname@example.org, 01772 906471.
Private land litter
To report rubbish on private land contact Environmental Health - email@example.com, 01772 906907.
