From 16 July 2018, household enquiry forms will be posted out to all properties to check who is listed on the Electoral Register. Look out for the form arriving on your doorstep.
On the inside of the form are the names of the people who are currently registered to vote at your address. If the form is blank that means no one is registered.
If all the details are the same, you must confirm this to us. You can do this by:
You will need the security code that is at the bottom of the front page, or on the inside of the form.
If you are unable to use any of the above options, you can complete the form and post it back to us.
If you need to add or remove or update someone’s details you can visit the website Household response.
You will need the security codes at the bottom of the front page, or on the inside of the form, or you can amend the form and post it back to us.
Don’t forget to include any 16, 17 or 18 year olds.
Please note that this is an enquiry form – if you add someone’s details to the form they will not appear on the electoral register.
They can register individually at Register to vote or we will send them a personalised registration form.
There are two versions of the register - the electoral register and the open register.
Your details will appear on the full version of the register, but you can choose to exclude your details from the open register by choosing to 'opt out'.
The electoral register is used for elections, preventing and detecting crime, and checking applications for credit. The open register is available for general sale and can be used for commercial activities such as marketing.
If you are concerned that having your name and address on the register may affect your safety, there could be other options available to you.
