Government has declared that Preston (and Lancashire as a whole) is a "Tier 3, Very High Alert" area according to the Government Covid Alert system.
This will impact on what businesses must close. We will update this page with further information. In the meantime please visit our FAQs on local restrictions page.
If you are concerned about the implementation of COVID secure measures in a business, workplace or other public building please report this by using our Coronavirus report form.
If you manage a restaurant, pub, cafe and want to talk to us about pavement licensing or any other specific request within our remit, relating to safely re-opening, please email us: firstname.lastname@example.org. Please note: this is not just for city centre businesses.
£30m of support for Lancashire businesses was agreed as part of the Tier 3 arrangement, with Lancashire County Council acting as the accountable body. As soon as we have further information about the allocation and guidelines for Preston we will publish this information on our website, along with relevant links to the necessary application form.
