Preston Sports Forum, with Preston City Council, are delighted to present the 12th annual Preston Guild Hall Sports Awards for 2017.
It's a chance to honour the unsung heroes and local sporting champions in the city, The event will take place on Friday 10 March 2017 at Preston Guild Hall.
There are 17 awards, providing the opportunity to recognise the excellence across all areas of sport. The criteria and categories are highlighted on this page.
Born in Oldham, Nicola White was one of the youngest members of the bronze winning Hockey team at London 2012. Nicola began playing hockey aged seven and made her senior international debut for England against Germany in 2009, a match in which she scored.
Since then she has gone on to medal success with a Silver medal at the 2014 Commonwealth Games and, the pinnacle of her achievements, a Gold medal at the Rio 2016 Olympics.
For each award, the judges will be looking for winners who demonstrate dedication, talent and commitment.

The Awards ceremony takes place at Preston Guild Hall on Friday 10 March 2017, starting at 6.30pm and concluding at approximately 10.45pm.
Tickets are £25 each and include a waiter-served meal, you can purchase tickets through our online ticket form. There will also be a multi-media presentation along with the Awards ceremony itself.
The event host is Granada TV presenter, Paul Crone.
