The council submitted their Plan to the Planning Inspectorate on 27 February 2015.

22 June 2016 – the Inspector’s report has now been issued to the Council and this brings the Examination to an end. The report concludes that the Plan is sound subject to certain modifications and both documents may be viewed here. The Council anticipate that the Plan will be adopted before the end of June. The Planning Inspectorate appointed Katie Child B.Sc(Hons) MA MRTPI to examine the 'soundness' of the City Centre Plan. Further information about the examination process and soundness can be found on the Planning Practice Guidance website.
Independent Programme Officer Tony Blackburn’s role has now ended following the production of the Inspector’s final report. No further correspondence should be sent for the Inspector and all future enquiries regarding the Plan should in the first instance be sent to Chris Blackburn (firstname.lastname@example.org).
The hearings concluded on 25 November 2015.
