This second round of consultation is considered to be necessary to raise awareness to the change in planning fees.
Central Government has now introduced a charge (as of 17 January 2018) for planning applications seeking approval for development where permitted development rights have been withdrawn under an Article 4 Direction.
This directly affects Fulwood Conservation Area and as such the appraisal has been updated to reflect this.
The consultation will run from 5 February to 2 March 2018 and to make any comments or suggestions please complete our online consultation form.
A hard copy of the report and conservation area appraisal will be available at Sharoe Green Library and at reception at the Town Hall.
Designated: 2008 (The Fulwood Conservation Area is comprised of the former Watling Street Road and Nooklands Conservation Areas)
Area: 100 Ha.
Article 4: An Article 4 Direction has now been made for the Fulwood Conservation Area (Dec. 2010). The relevant documents are attached below including a plan showing the area covered by the Direction.
There is provision within the legislation for owners or occupiers of properties affected by the Direction to make representations to the City Council concerning its scope, in terms of the types of development that require consent, and also the boundary of the area covered by the Direction.
