We work with a number of volunteers who give up their time to make Preston a cleaner, greener place. Volunteers aged 16 – 19 carry out litter picking events around Preston on a monthly basis to improve the environment. We are extremely grateful for the work our volunteers do. If you would like to become a volunteer contact Anne Millne-Riley on 01772 906919 or email a.millne-riley@preston.gov.uk.
If you would like to help people in conflict to resolve their disputes, particularly, young people and their families, then this role is for you.
Our training will equip you to undertake mediation sessions with families, and within the community. If you are available day times, Monday-Friday, then we would like to hear from you. In return for your time and commitment we will provide you with comprehensive training in conflict management and mediation, with the potential to achieve accreditation.
For an application form, or to discuss this opportunity further contact Claire Blackburn on 01772 558978 or activemediation@preston.gov.uk
Please note that all volunteers will be subject to a Criminal Record Bureaux check and references will be required. Volunteers must be available to attend a four day training course.
