If you have just become homeless, are sleeping rough or need advice for getting off the street and moving on, there a number of support services to help you.
We may be able help you find accommodation if you have recently become homeless or are at risk of becoming homeless through our homeless assessment.
Please note: asylum seekers are not eligible for homeless assistance. For more information see GOV.UK - asylum support.
There are currently no night shelters for adult rough sleepers in Preston.
However, there are a number of soup kitchens and ‘drop ins’ offering free or cheap meals. For venues and serving hours visit homelessinpreston – soup kitchens and drop ins.
During the cold winter months, we operate a scheme called Winter Watch.
Winter Watch offers rough sleepers a warm indoor location to sleep in when outdoor temperatures fall below zero degrees Celsius for three consecutive nights.
Rough sleepers can be referred to Winter Watch via the Foxton Centre. Please visit the centre by 3pm to be referred on to the scheme.
