If your property is suitable you may be able to have a number of energy efficiency improvements installed in your home for free including loft insulation and cavity wall insulation. Boiler replacements are also included on this scheme (subject to eligibility).
Our scheme is called Cosy Homes in Lancashire (CHiL) and is backed by all the Lancashire local authorities and we have funding available for owner-occupiers and private tenants to install a number of measures.
For more information about everything that the scheme provides please go to the CHiL website. If you are interested in applying then you can do so on the website or alternatively by filling out an Energy efficiency enquiry form.
Your details will then be passed to our scheme partner, Firefly Energi, who will organise a survey of your property. You will be advised in advance of the person who will be visiting your property so please always ask for identification before allowing anyone into your home.
All CHiL contractors will be wearing Identification cards which shows their photograph and their unique ID number which can be verified on the CHiL website. If they do not have this card they are not working on our scheme so do not let them into your property.
The government is particularly keen to help residents living in rural areas make their homes more energy efficient and for that reason energy companies are making additional funding available to rural communities. The Energy Partnership Ltd is the nominated contractor for rural Lancashire.
