The Preston Strategic Partnership (PSP) is the Local Strategic Partnership for Preston.

Established by the Local Government Act 2000, Local Strategic Partnership (LSP's) are single, overarching, umbrella bodies for an area. They bring together the public, private, business, voluntary and community sectors so that different services and initiatives support each other and work together for the benefit of local people and to improve the economic and environmental wellbeing of a town or city.

Preston's LSP, the Preston Strategic Partnership (PSP), was formally set up on 2001. It is made up of the PSP Board, PSP Executive, eight Thematic Working Groups (TWG's) the Cultural Forum and four Task Groups.

The PSP Board meets twice a year and is the overall decision making body of the Partnership. It is responsible for developing the strategic vision for the Partnership and evaluating its impact on communities.

The PSP Executive meets four times a year and is responsible for ensuring the delivery of the Preston Sustainable Community Strategy and coordinating the work of the TWGs, Cultural Forum and Task Groups.

The Thematic Working Group's (TWG's), Cultural Forum and Task Group's are progressing specific areas of work to achieve the actions contained within the Community Strategy Action Plan, including the delivery of targets from the Lancashire Local Area Agreement (LLAA) and other PSP policies and initiatives.
