The Preston Strategic Partnership builds on Preston's history of partnership working, through further co-ordinating the activities of the public, private, community and voluntary organisation's that operate locally.

The PSP ensures the different organisation's work together to deliver services more effectively in Preston.

The Preston Strategic Partnership (PSP) is responsible for:-

  • Delivering the Preston Sustainable Community Strategy which PSP partners produced to improve quality of life in Preston.
  • Delivering those targets in the Lancashire Local Area Agreement which relate to Preston.

Preston Sustainable Community Strategy

The Preston Sustainable Community Strategy (PSCS) is a key document for the PSP and sets out the Partnership’s long term vision for Preston, its priorities and the key issues for Preston.

The Lancashire Local Area Agreement

The Local Area Agreement (LAA) Initiative was introduced by Government is to help deliver the priorities which organisations and the community have identified will make their area a better place e.g. on crime, health, education and jobs.

The Lancashire Local Area Agreement contains targets which relates to the priorities identified for Preston.
