'Preston is my Paris' visits the Guildhall

A collection of artwork called ‘Preston is my Paris’ is paying a 3 week visit to the Guild Hall this month.
The project was born seven months ago to explore the city’s past and present, and has so far taken the form of an online blog and a monthly publication given out for free around the area.
The exhibition will allow the team to showcase their work, which features photography, poetry and found objects, some of which came from Preston’s very own residents.
The space will also include a studio where visitors can have their portrait taken to be featured in the project.
Councillor Christine Thomas, cabinet member for community services, said:
“This is a very exciting project that will allow the people of Preston to learn more about the city. It is also a great opportunity to get involved with the exhibition, and I would encourage people to go along and enjoy it”.
