On 1st October 2009 a By-Election was held for the position of Councillor for the Fishwick Ward of Preston City Council.
The results of the By-Election were:
BOSMAN Luke Liberal Democrats 239 MEIN Jennifer Labour 656 (Elected) RILEY Sharon Conservative 283
Overall Turnout: 30.97%
