Preston sets council tax and budget for 2009/10

Council Tax

Preston City Council has agreed its budget and council tax for 2009/10.

The full Council meeting today approved the following:

Council tax rise: 4.8%

Preston City Council - council tax level: £253.25 (Per Band D property).

General Fund Budget for 2009/10 of £30,763,610

Total savings in the budget of £1,941,000

Additional spending to the budget of £30,000

The council tax levels set for 2009/10 are

£1044.03 Band A

£1218.03 Band B

£1392.04 Band C

£1566.04 Band D

£1914.05 Band E

£2262.07 Band F

£2610.07 Band G

£3132.08 Band H

NOTE: These figures are for the City Council area as a whole. If you live in a Parish area you will pay slightly more to pay for the Parish Council.
