Run Preston 2008 (On the Move Festival)

RUN Preston - the popular city centre sporting event returns for its 5th year in 2008, welcoming walkers and runners of all ages and abilities to take part in the three races, all starting in the heart of Preston's City Centre (Market Street). The first ever City of Preston Grand Prix will also take place, with elite cyclists racing around a 1km cirucit in the city centre. The combined sporting events will be branded under the new festival title Preston On the Move. See On the Move link for more details of the full days activities.

It's On the Move

As the Olympic torch is passed to Britain, Preston will be getting into the Olympic spirit with a day of sport and culture on Sunday 28 September. Preston on the Move will combine the popular Run Preston, with a brand new professional cycling race – City of Preston Grand Prix, as well as a host of art and cultural activities throughout the day.
