Lime trees, Haslam Park

As well as being  one of the most important and impressive features of the English landscape trees are great pollution busters, purifying the air we breathe as well as absorbing carbon -dioxide gas which is a major cause of global warming.

We are committed to maintaining the health and longevity of all council trees through appropriate management. We do not cut down trees unless they are considered dead, diseased or dangerous. Tree work is carried out by our Arboriculture team and the Arboriculture Officer also provides advice on tree issues to the Planning department. The Arboriculture Officer can be contacted on 01772 906284.
