Major events are a key part of the Guild celebrations. Past Guilds have seen a whole host of major events including open air concerts and Proms in the Park type events.

For 2012, the Guild celebrations will also include major events. The Council has set up a working group specifically to deal with guild major events and is currently developing ideas and a programme of potential major events ready for consultation during 2008.

The challenge will be to put on major events that are attractive and well supported not just in Preston but in the North West and beyond.

That's why the consultation will be important and 2008 a key year in developing proposals for the Guild. The Council is keen to put on a Guild that the whole of Preston can be proud of and a lot of effort and time will be going into developing a major events programme.
