Chinese New Year
Preston Celebrates Chinese New Year with a bang! The event takes place under the covered market and includes live entertainment, a parade, lion dancers and of course fire crackers.

Egg Rolling
The age old tradition of Egg Rolling is celebrated with a family focused event in Avenham Park with an array of activities including: Easter workshops, traditional brass bands, stalls and of course mass egg rolls.

Preston Caribbean Carnival
Preston Caribbean CarnivalThe city is transformed into a sea of colour, music and dancing for the annual Caribbean carnival which sees local and national bands celebrating Caribbean culture and the city enjoying the party.

Preston Mela
This one day event showcases South Asian arts, heritage and culture in a family orientated event on Avenham Park. The event includes live music, free workshops, tasty food and lots of fun!

Riversway Festival
The weekend long festival includes water based spectacles including: The Little Brig Tall Ships, the world's smallest tall ships, dingy races and a firework display alongside free arts workshops, information stalls, live music, demonstrations and lots more!

City of Preston Grand Prix
The City comes alive with two wheeled fun!! A series of city centre cycle races starting from the markets area, with some of the country's top names in cycling battling it out to win the City of Preston Grand Prix. This year the event is being filmed by Eurosport, so make sure you turn out to support the race!!

Preston on the Move
This week long celebration of sport and physical activity takes place throughout the city sandwiched between two events, cycle cross on Sunday 19th September on Avenham Park and Run Preston on Sunday 26th September starting from the markets.
