Housing data

The work of the Housing Advisory Service is largely directed by statutory housing duties, in order to carry out this work effectively, the service has developed a second strategy focussing on the prevention of homelessness.

The action plan developed in the strategy builds on past and current service developments and complements regional and national homelessness policies.

We also receive many enquiries about homelessness and housing statistics, the links below are provided to assist such research and also to enable access to the range of strategic documents relevant to our work .

The Department of Communities and Local Government website carries a range of articles and documents concerning homelessness issues and prevention initiatives.

Homeless Link represents a national coalition of agencies involved in homelessness work and the website provides a wide range of information about services and policy issues.

The Homeless in Preston website identifies local services and agencies in Preston assisting vulnerable groups.
