What are housing associations?
They are not for profit organisations that let accommodation to people in housing need. Rents are generally cheaper than privately rented accommodation and the tenancy agreements usually provide better security of tenure than private lets.
Council housing
Preston City Council no longer has any housing, the housing stock was transferred to the Community Gateway Association.
Select Move
Select Move is the choice based lettings scheme for Preston and South Ribble.
The scheme includes Community Gateway, Adactus, Eavesbrook and New Progress Housing Associations .
The Select Move website has an online housing application form, you can also view available properties and express an interest in properties online.
