Help with finding accommodation
- Advice on applying for housing to registered social landlords (housing associations
- Help in finding private rented accommodation e.g. we can help a small number of people through the Preston Bond Scheme.
- Practical help in setting up home through referrals where applicable, to furniture and white goods schemes
- Referrals to temporary accommodation in emergency situations e.g women's refuges and hostels.
- Providing information about affordable home ownership schemes .
Help with keeping accommodation
Advice to tenants and landlords on their rights and obligations where disputes arise or where eviction is threatened
Helping victims of domestic violence e.g. through the Sanctuary Scheme.
Advice about the discretionary housing payments scheme, which can provide extra help in paying the rent
Help with filling in court papers and representation at court in eviction cases.
Advice to owner occupiers where repossession is threatened.

There is also an outreach service which provides housing advice to minority ethnic groups.
