Preston Care and Repair is an independent home improvement agency for the elderly and disabled, supported by Preston City Council, Lancashire County Council and Central Government. They will:
- provide assistance with home repair and disabled facilities grant applications
- provide help and advice on employing a builder
- supervise repair or adaptation work for grant schemes and private jobs
- provide help and advice on benefit entitlement
- provide help and advice on safety and security measures
- provide information on housing options
- provide a handyperson service for smaller jobs
- advise on Home Safe/ Home Secure Scheme
- advise on Warm Front Grants
