
Help Direct is a new service that has been developed for all adults (18 years and over) in Lancashire.
It aims to be your first port of call to get the practical support, guidance and/or simply the right information you need before a problem becomes a crisis.
A dedicated team of local friendly Help Direct advisors will help you to find the right way forward, help you to get a bit of extra support to stay independent and keep healthy, they could recommend agencies to keep your home and garden in good order, signpost to leisure activities or offer details on opportunities to get involved in your local community.

They can provide information on:
- Health and fitness
- Home and Garden
- Feeling safe in your home and community
- Learning and leisure
- Managing finances
- Mobility and transport
- Community groups and involvement
- Getting the right help and support
- Relationships and families
- Employment, volunteering and training
Help Direct Centres
The Preston Help Direct service is managed by Age Concern Preston and South Ribble and operates from Arkwright House, Stoneygate, Preston PR1 3XT.
You can also access Help Direct in all sorts of different local places. Look out for the Help Direct sign at one stop shops, libraries, community centres, doctor’s surgeries, community groups and lots of other places where you live.

Opening hours are 9am till 5pm, Monday to Friday and 9am till 1pm Saturdays.
