The annual Run Preston event returns to the city on Sunday 30 September. The event has around 1,500 runners of all abilities taking part.
Run Preston gets moving with a 2k Fun Run, followed by the 10k run taking runners on a lap of the city centre before entering Avenham Park, across the river, round Frenchwood Rec and back up to the city centre through Avenham and Miller parks. The 5k run then sees another field of runners, including corporate teams battling it out for prizes. It also has plenty of walkers taking in the wonderful backdrop. To take part in either of these races, competitors will need to complete a Run Preston entry form .
Even those who are not participating can enjoy the event, cheering on runners and looking out for friends and family. There is a morning full of entertainment featuring a guest band, the Guild Hall roadshow, the mobile climbing wall, and various stalls, all centred around the covered market in the heart of the city.
