Welcome to the Dog Welfare Service. This service deals with complaints from members of the public about dog related matters. It also aims to promote responsible dog ownership by educating the public and taking legal action where necessary.

The dog welfare officers investigate complaints about dog fouling, stray dogs and lost dogs.  The dog welfare officers also provide a free microchipping service, educational advice on responsible dog ownership and advice to dog owners about behavioural training. The officers carry out patrols of parks and open spaces and areas known to be used by dog walkers.
