To deliver excellent services and achieve the outcomes that our communities want and need, we have to continually review, challenge and improve what we do. To understand what changes to make and where improvements are needed, we have to be good at managing our performance.
This can be done by using timely, accurate and relevant performance information to gauge how services are performing and take appropriate action.
The Council's aspirations, performance measures and targets are set out in the Corporate Plan and in the Service Delivery Plans that support it. Ownership and accountability is allocated to individual officers throughout the Council and is monitored every quarter.
We also work with a number of partners on areas such as health, policing and economic development.
