Located under the Grade II listed Victorian canopies, we offer a variety of stalls sizes and car boot spaces on the site of the traditional Open Market. All the accommodation is undercover but we can't guarantee full protection from the weather.
The market operates on Tuesdays and Thursdays throughout the year with exception of the Tuesday immediately after Spring Bank Holiday.
If you are unable to occupy the stall by this time or are delayed please contact the Market Office by phone on the day. Every effort will be made to retain your stall for that day.
You can sell second hand goods, new goods or a mixture. The majority of traders specialise in selling second hand goods, used goods or collectables.

If you want to book a stall in advance for the busy Second hand market, you can call 01772 906048 and pay using a debit or credit card.
Casual bookings for the Second hand Market can be taken at 2pm the week before the market (on Tuesday or Thursday). You can still call into the market office to book a stall and pay for it by cash, credit or debit card.
Please be aware we do not refund stall fees if you do not attend irrespective of the reason.
Regular Second hand Market traders are required under the County of Lancashire Act 1984 to register for a Second hand goods dealers licence. The licence costs £30.00 and is a one off payment.
Preston Markets define a second hand dealer as any person who trades on the market on four occasions in any three month period.
If you wish to occupy a stall or pitch on a regular basis you are required to provide confirmation that you hold Public Liability Insurance for a sum of £5,000,000.
