Smokefree

Since 1st of July 2007 virtually all enclosed public places and workplaces in England have become smoke free.

The aim of the law is to protect both workers and the general public from the harmful effects of second hand smoke.

The Health Act 2006 requires enclosed public places, including workplaces to be smoke free. That means your staff, customers and visitors will not be able to smoke in enclosed areas of your premises.

Individuals and businesses caught breaking the law may be subject to criminal proceedings.
