The Economic Regeneration Section maintains a sites and property register of up-to-date information on the availability of all industrial units, offices, shops and employment land within the City. We enter enquiries onto the register each day and these are matched to property or site details already held - your enquiry being defined in terms of type, size, tenure and location.

The register is constantly updated by contact with all commercial agents dealing with local property and sites. The tailored listing provides a summary of the property particulars, together with photographs and the estate agents name / telephone number for you to contact for further details.

Use one of the following three options to obtain a property listing for Preston:

  • Enter your details in the request form for a listing to be e-mailed to you
  • Register and carry out an on-line business property search to see summary details of all available property and sites in Preston

Managed workspace

The City Council's managed workspace provision consists of two operating centres:

Premier House office and training centre

A modern office complex of 20 small units, immediately adjacent to all city centre amenities. Facilities include a central reception and fully equipped seminar, training and meeting rooms.

Riversway managed workshop

Purpose-built light industrial units, located on Riversway Docklands within a mixed use environment of shops, offices, housing and leisure facilities. Parking within a secure yard is available with most of the 29 units, together with free visitor parking. Larger units have roller shutter doors.

Managed workspace incorporates services and advice to tenants that would otherwise have to be sought independently. The following is included within the weekly rental costs:

  • reception service
  • rates and service charges
  • building insurance (excl. contents)
  • cleaning (communal areas)
  • waste disposal
  • kitchen facilities and toilets

Other services at a modest extra cost:

  • photocopying
  • word processing
  • fax
  • seminar and training rooms (Premier House)

Premises are let under licence, which means you can terminate by only giving one months notice. This provides a flexible in-out arrangement, allowing your business to expand or contract easily. Charges for telephones and electricity are your responsibility and each office/unit is individually metered.
