Preston's bustling markets comprise an indoor market hall, outdoor market, and car boot/ flea market.
Open Monday to Saturday, the market hall spans two floors, with the lower floor dedicated to 75 food stalls and the upper floor offering 60 non-food stalls.
The colourful outdoor market operates four days a week (Mon, Wed, Fri and Sat) and can accommodate more than 140 stalls under its Victorian canopy. On Tuesdays and Thursdays the site transforms into one of the region's largest car boot/ flea markets.
Early September sees the traditional pot fair - Lancashire's oldest and only remaining fair of its kind - take to the city centre Flag Market.
Another annual event is the spring bank holiday pleasure fair - all the fun of the fair, complete with fairground rides and fast food stalls.
