Part of the University of Central Lancashire Students' Union, 53 Degrees is one of the North West's newest live music, concert, comedy and entertainment venues. Split into two parts, the largest has a capacity of 1,000, a dance floor and a fifty foot stage, while the upstairs club area includes a stage, dance floor and DJ booth.
The majority of events held at the venue are open to public as well as the 32,000-strong student population enabling the university to attract headline acts from the entertainment industry.
Examples so far include The Happy Mondays, Reel Big Fish, Gossip and The Fratellis, as well as a host of top-name DJs such as Tim Westwood, Trevor Nelson and Colin Murray.
